A 24-year-old Indonesian woman has been charged with infanticide after her newborn girl was found dead in Chai Wan.

She will appear in Eastern Magistracy tomorrow.

Police received a report at about 8.30am yesterday, and found the baby on the second floor podium of Sau Fung House in Fung Wah Estate.

The woman had given birth in a flat that morning. She was sent to Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital after Police found her.
