3 dead in road accidents

Three men have been killed in two traffic accidents in Chai Wan and Yuen Long.

 

About 2am today a car overturned on the Island Eastern Corridor near Aldrich Bay. It was ripped in two after ramming a kerb.

 

The 28-year-old driver and 25-year-old passenger were sent to Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital where they were certified dead about 2.30am. Anyone who saw the accident should call Police on 3106 8848 or 3106 8800.

 

The second crash occurred at 4.30am when a car reportedly knocked down a bicycle on Ping Yee Road outside Long Ping Estate.

 

The 75-year-old cyclist was certified dead at 5.13am at Tuen Mun Hospital. The 20-year-old driver was arrested for drink driving. Anyone who saw the accident should call Police on 2675 3325.
