Police have issued 548 fixed penalty tickets and 36 summonses in a two-day traffic offence blitz on Hong Kong Island.

The operation concluded at 7pm today and saw 180 officers enforce regulations and distribute road safety pamphlets at accident blackspots across the island.

More than 300 tickets were issued for illegal parking and 241 for other offences. More than 140 pedestrians and 247 drivers were cautioned for minor offences.
