Crime review: Fight Crime Committee Report No.24 is ready for collection.
*

Fight Crime Committee Report No.24 has been released, giving a detailed account of the committee's work in 2004.

Last year the committee examined many issues, including the overall crime situation; progress reports on the Police Superintendents' Discretion Scheme; the Correctional Services Department's new initiatives on offenders' rehabilitation programmes and publicity activities on the reintegration of rehabilitated offenders; and fight crime publicity campaign strategies.

The report also carries chapters on the 2004 Fight Crime Conference, the work of District Fight Crime Committees and the two sub-committees under the Fight Crime Committee - the Standing Committee on Young Offenders and the Publicity Sub-Committee.

The report is ready for collection at District Offices and can be downloaded from the Security Bureau's website.
