Customs officers have seized $8.5 million worth of unmanifested cargo, including cosmetics, skincare products, undeveloped photographic paper, and dyed and finished cowhide from a river trade vessel off Tap Shek Kok, Tuen Mun.

Officers raided the Mainland-bound vessel Sunday, declared to be carrying groceries. The unmanifested goods were concealed at the far end of the container, with the entrance filled with groceries like flour, cream and frozen food.

A 40-year-old shipping manager and a 31-year-old female freight forwarding agent were arrested.
