Hong Kong Police

Police are investigating a robbery in which $11 million in electronic parts was taken from a lorry in Lok Ma Chau.

About 10.50am today, the 39-year-old driver was intercepted on Wo Muk Road, Fanling, by two men armed with a sharp object, after withdrawing money from a bank on Luen Hing Street. He was blindfolded, tied up and pushed into the lorry, loaded with 393 cartons of electronic parts.

The culprits drove the lorry to Sheung Chuk Yuen in Ngau Tam Mei, Lok Ma Chau, unloaded the goods and fled. The victim freed himself and called Police at 12.40pm.

The culprits, aged 35 to 40, are of strong build and one wore a black cap and a white short-sleeve T-shirt. Witnesses are urged to contact Police on 2666 4477 or 2666 4478.
