18 netted in anti-crime operation
*
Hong Kong Police

Police have arrested 18 people and seized a small quantity of soft drugs during an anti-crime operation in Kowloon West today.

Beginning at 7pm yesterday, officers from Kowloon West and the New Territories inspected more than 30 entertainment outlets.

A total of 15 men and three women aged 16 to 39 were apprehended for offences including unlawful assembly, criminal damage, disorderly conduct, and possession of dangerous drugs.

Police also seized 10 packets of Ketamine, nine "Ng Jai" tablets, 17 Ecstasy tablets, and two cannabis joints in the operation.

Of those arrested, 13 men aged 19 to 24 were believed to be members of a triad society active in Tsuen Wan.

Police reiterate that they are determined to combat all triad-related crimes and will continue to conduct similar operations in a bid to eradicate illegal activities.
