1 dead, 1 injured in Western car crash
*

A 27-year-old man was killed and a 25-year-old man injured in a car crash in Western District this morning.

 

At about 9am, the 27-year-old was driving a car eastbound on Pok Fu Lam Road. He reportedly lost control at the junction with Bisney Road and rammed into a lamppost.

 

Firefighters rescued the driver and his passenger who were trapped inside the car. They were sent to Queen Mary Hospital where the driver was certified dead at 9.15am.

 

Hong Kong Island's traffic investigation team is following up. Anyone who saw the accident is urged to contact the investigating officers on 3106 8848.
