A Kwun Tong District Council member has been charged for allegedly using false receipts to claim printing expenses. So Ka-ho, 39, faces a count of using a false instrument and will appear in Kwun Tong Magistracy on April 7.

 

So is alleged to have used two false receipts issued by a printing company for $2,660 in expenses, with the intention of inducing the council to accept it as genuine. The three forgery charges allege Chan had made three false receipts of the printing company for printing expenses of $83,160 in total.

 

Chan further faces two counts of using two false receipts issued by the printing company for printing expenses totalling $92,500, with the intention of inducing an assistant to accept them as genuine.

 

Also, So's Councillor Assistant, Chan Wai-tat, 24, faces three counts of forgery and two of using a false instrument in claiming reimbursement from the council and the Legislative Council. The alleged offences took place between January and July last year.
