Two men, aged 34 and 47, have been jailed 10 and 15 years for drug manufacturing after being convicted at the High Court today.
After extensive investigations, Police ambushed a Hung Hom industrial building on July 22, 2003, and found 23,000 ecstasy tablets, more than 100kgs of ingredients, a tablet-producing machine and other manufacturing equipment, worth $17 million.
Four men, aged 31 to 47, were arrested. Three were charged with one count of drug manufacturing. One, aged 34, pleaded guilty on August 26, 2004, and another, 31, was acquitted after court proceedings on March 11.
