Former Tourism Board manageress Elsie Wan, 56, has been jailed for three months, and two other officers given community service orders.

The trio were convicted at Eastern Magistracy for making $7,700 worth of false claims for entertainment and taxi expenses, and sentenced today.

Magistrate Johnny Chan gave former board officers Luk Chi-man, 24, and Choi Sau-yee, 27, 60 hours of community service.

Wan admitted seven counts of an agent using a document with intent to deceive his principal, while Luk and Choi each admitted two similar offences. Wan and Luk also admitted to one joint charge of conspiracy to defraud the board.

The Independent Commission Against Corruption investigation arose from a complaint alleging the claimants' supervisors corruptly condoned false claims of reimbursement of expenses. Subsequent inquiries revealed the fraudulent claims.
