Police have charged a 33-year-old man with murder in the death of his 22-year-old girl friend.

Police arrested the man yesterday inside a hotel room on Electric Road in North Point.

His girlfriend, with red marks on her neck, was found lying unconscious on the bed and a wound believed to be caused by a sharp object was found on her upper abdomen.

The woman was certified dead at the scene. The man will appear in Eastern Magistracies' Courts tomorrow.
