Woman killed in Tsing Yi crash
*
Hong Kong Police

Police are investigating a traffic accident in which a 30-year-old woman was killed and a man was seriously injured in Tsing Yi this morning.

At about 4am, a private car travelling along Lantau Link towards the airport reportedly rammed the back of a truck parked in the first lane before the toll plaza, which has been closed for roadwork.

The driver, a 42-year-old man, and the woman passenger, aged 30, were trapped inside the compartment. They were rescued by firemen and rushed to the Princess Margaret Hospital where the woman was certified dead at 4.28 am.

Anyone who might have witnessed the accident or has information to offer is urged to contact the investigating officers at 2611 3271.
