Police have charged a 33-year-old woman with the murder of her three-year-old daughter.

The woman was arrested on September 18.

Two days before, at about 4.45pm, Police found the defendant and her daughter lying unconscious on a bed inside their home with two pots of burning charcoal next to them.

They were sent to the Alice Ho Miu Ling Nethersole Hospital where the girl was certified dead and the woman was admitted.

Since the woman is still in hospital for medical treatment, the case will be heard in her absence in Fanling Magistrates Courts today.
