81-year-old man dies in Mong Kok car crash

An 81-year-old man was killed in Mong Kok early this morning after a private car reportedly knocked him down.

 

A 37-year-old man was driving the car westbound along Prince Edward Road West at about 5.25am when it struck the man as he was crossing the road near near the junction with Yuen Ngai Street.

 

He was sent to Kwong Wah Hospital where he was certified dead at 5.52am.

 

Kowloon West's Special Investigation Team of Traffic is looking into the case. Anyone who might have witnessed the accident or has information to offer is urged to contact the investigating officers at 2773 5220.
