Customs officers have arrested four drivers, and seized a large quantity of substandard garments and material in an operation against illegal circumvention of the rules of origin.

The garments were seized from four Mainland-bound lorries at Lok Ma Chau Control Point.

The Customs & Excise Department reminds traders and manufacturers that breaches to the Import & Export Ordinance warrants a maximum fine of $500,000 and two years' prison.
