4 teenagers arrested for robbery
*
Hong Kong Police

Four teenagers, 14 to 19, have been arrested for robbing a 15-year-old schoolboy in Tin Sum.

At about 9am today the victim was approached by three teenagers near Chun Shek Estate bus terminus, accusing him of assaulting their friend. They brought him to a refuse collection centre nearby where he was forced to give them $100 cash and his mobile phone as compensation.

The three then joined another teen and fled into a shopping centre nearby. The victim called Police and the four were later arrested in Sha Tin. They are being detained for questioning.

Police urge people, particularly youngsters, to be vigilant against robbery and to be cautious when approached by strangers.

Anyone robbed in a similar way in Sha Tin, or who has information relating to such cases, should call investigating officers on 2694 3353 or 2694 3386.
