28 injured in Western Harbour Tunnel accident

Twenty-eight people were injured - none of them seriously - when a City Bus collided with a private car inside the Hong Kong-bound Western Harbour Tunnel this morning.

 

The injured were sent to Queen Mary Hospital, Queen Elizabeth Hospital and Kwong Wah Hospital.

 

Sixteen of them were discharged while the other 12 were in satisfactory or stable condition.

 

The accident happened inside at about 9am, closing two lanes for about half an hour. The tunnel reopened at 10.15am.
