Man dies in Cheung Sha Wan accident

Hong Kong Police

Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in Cheung Sha Wan in which a 70-year-old man was killed on Wednesday night.

 

Shortly before 9.38pm, a public light bus travelling southbound on Kwai Chung Road reportedly knocked down the man as he crossed the road near Cheung Sha Wan Police Station.

 

The man was rushed to Caritas Medical Centre with serious head injuries and was certified dead at about 10pm.

 

Kowloon West's Special Investigation Team for Traffic is following up the case.

 

Police urge members of the public who might have witnessed the accident to contact the investigating officers at 2773 5220.
