Special traffic measures in Central set for Sunday

Crowd control and special traffic arrangement measures will be implemented to facilitate a public procession to be held in Central & Western District at 3.30pm on Sunday.

 

The procession will start marching from Charter Road Pedestrianisation Precinct in Central to the Central People's Government Liaison Office in Sai Ying Pun.

 

During the procession, the following road sections will be closed to traffic intermittently:

 

* Des Voeux Road Central westbound

* Morrison Street between Wing Lok Street and Connaught Road Central

* Connaught Road West Service Road westbound between Morrison Street and Wing Lok Street

* Western Fire Service Street

* Connaught Road West service Road westbound between Eastern Street and Centre Street

* Des Voeux Road West westbound between Centre Street and Chiu Kwong Street

* Centre Street between Connaught Road West and Des Voeux Road West

* Pottinger Street between Queen's Road Central and Des Voeux Road Central

 

All bus stops along Des Voeux Road Central westbound and Des Voeux Road West will also be suspended.

The public is advised to use public transport, while motorists should avoid driving there.
