Man killed in Tin Sum crash

Hong Kong Police

Police are investigating a traffic accident in Tin Sum this morning in which a 36-year-old man was killed.

 

Shortly after 5am, a private car travelling along Shatin Road towards the New Territories reportedly lost control and crashed into a lamppost near Pok Hong Estate.

 

The car caught fire and the 36-year-old driver was trapped inside.

 

He was rescued and rushed to Prince of Wales Hospital where he was certified dead at 5.55am.

 

Investigations by New Territories South's Special Investigation Team for Traffic are underway. 

 

Anyone who has witnessed the incident or has information to offer is urged to contact the Police at 2611 3200.
