80-year-old dies in Sai Kung accident

An 80-year-old man was killed after a private bus reportedly knocked him down on Hiram's Highway yesterday morning.

 

The accident happened just before 9am, as the bus was heading towards Kowloon. The man was crossing the road near Po Lo Che Road.

 

He was sent to Tseung Kwan O Hospital with serious head injuries, and later transferred to Queen Elizabeth Hospital. He was certified dead at 2:24pm.

 

Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon East are underway.
