Police classify couple's fall murder-suicide

*
Hong Kong Police

Police have classified the deaths of a 30-year-old man and his 26-year-old wife as a murder-suicide after the two fell from their flat in Fanling yesterday morning.

The woman's 23-year-old sister had called Police at about 9.10am after receiving a call from her brother-in-law threatening to push his wife from their flat in Avon Park in Yat Ming Road.

The woman told Police she could hear her sister shouting for help in the background.

Police officers sped to the scene and found the man lying unconscious on the ground. His wife was lying on the first-floor podium.

The couple was rushed to North District Hospital where the man was certified dead at 9.31 am and the woman at 10.15 am.

Investigators found signs of a struggle in the couple's master bedroom.

Autopsies conducted today showed they died of multiple

injuries caused by falling from height.

Tai Po's District Crime Squad is investigating.
