Firecrackers seized off Nim Wan

Police have seized 50 kilograms of firecrackers and arrested two men off Nim Wan.

 

A suspicious vessel heading towards Nim Wan was detected by Police in Deep Bay at about 10pm yesterday.

 

Two Police launches then stopped the vessel and the two Mainlanders and eight boxes of fireworks, worth about $20,000, were found on board.

 

The two men, aged 38 and 55, were arrested for unauthorised entrance and possession of fireworks.

 

They are being detained for enquiries.
