Two women's deaths under Police probe

Police are investigating the murder of a 40-year-old woman in Sham Shui Po this morning, and that of a 25-year-old woman in Tsuen Wan early today.

 

The older victim's colleague returned to their office on Fuk Wa Street at about 10.40am and found the victim lying unconscious in a pool of blood.

 

Police were called in and the woman was sent to Caritas Medical Centre where she was certified dead at about 11am.

 

She had cut wounds on her throat and wrist. A post mortem will determine the cause of death.

 

The motive of the attack is still under investigation and no arrest has been made.

 

Investigations by the Regional Crime Unit, Kowloon West, are continuing.

 

Meanwhile, a 25-year-old woman was found collapsed in an open area on Hoi Kwai Road in Tsuen Wan early today.

 

She had been reported missing at about 1am after failing to return home after having had dinner with family members in Tuen Mun.

 

Woman disappears after family dinner

Responding to a call at about 3:30am, Police officers arrived at the scene and sent the woman to Yan Chai Hospital. She was certified dead at 6:05 am.

 

A post-mortem conducted this afternoon revealed that she died of internal bleeding.

 

Enquiries by the Regional Crime Unit, New Territories South are proceeding.
