Police raided a gambling den and arrested 32 people in Mong Kok on November 13.
Organised Crime & Triad Bureau officers had been watching the place in a commercial and residential building at 135 Lai Chi Kok Road for two weeks prior to the operation. They believe it was triad-controlled.
Shortly after 11.30 pm last night, the officers raided the unit where they found 21 men and 11 women, aged 24-55, playing "mahjong pai kau".
Officers also seized money from the table and gambling paraphernalia.
Two men, aged 46 and 48, and a 32-year-old woman were arrested for operating a gambling establishment. The others were arrested for gambling in a gambling establishment.
All of them are being detained for enquiries.
