*
Hong Kong Police

Police raided a gambling den and arrested 41 people in Wong Tai Sin overnight.

Organised Crime & Triad Bureau officers had been watching the place in Kwai Chi Path, in Ngau Chi Wan village, for two weeks prior to the operation. They believe it was triad-controlled.

Police found 12 men and 29 women, aged  23 to 60,  playing baccarat. They were arrested and $12,000 in table money and chips with a face value of $150,000 were seized.

A 19-year-old man was arrested for operating a gambling establishment. Two women, aged 26 and 36, were arrested for assisting in the operation of a gambling establishment. The rest faced gambling charges.

All of them were detained for enquiries.

The Police stress that they will ontinue to mount similar operations to curb triad society income.
