Police have arrested a 39-year-old woman for the murder of her husband, whose body was found in a storeroom in Aberdeen. Hours earlier, she had told Police that he had assaulted her.
At 11am yesterday, the wife made a report to the Western Police Station, claiming the assault had taken place on the afternoon of November 2.
She was sent to Queen Mary Hospital for a medical check, but later disappeared from the hospital.
At about 4pm yesterday, a colleague called Police to report that the man, a 40-year-old American, had gone missing.
The Western District Crime Squad took over the case. They found the woman in the couple's flat in Hong Kong Parkview Block 17, on Tai Tam Road in Aberdeen.
She gave them keys to an underground storeroom she rented in Block 15. At about 11:45pm, officers found her husband's body wrapped in a carpet and plastic sheets.
An autopsy showed he died of head injuries. Police have arrested the woman, who is also an American.
