Police probe fatal fire in Hung Hom
*

A woman died and a man was seriously injured in a fire in Hung Hom.

 

At around 3.45 this morning, Police received a report of a fire on the 15th floor of a residential block at 423 Chatham Road North.

 

Police officers and firefighters broke down the door of the unit and found the woman lying on a bed and the 50-year-old man sitting at her side. A burnt stove was also found inside the bedroom.

 

The man was rushed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital for medical treatment, while the woman was certified dead at scene.

 

The cause of death is under investigation, as is the cause of the fire.
