Mong Kok crash claims one life

Hong Kong Police

The Police are investigating a traffic accident in Mong Kok in which a 26-year-old woman was killed while riding a bicycle.

 

Shortly before 12.30pm today, a concrete mixer travelling along Dundas Street eastbound reportedly knocked down the bicycle while making a left turn northbound into Portland Street. The cyclist was trapped underneath the concrete mixer.

 

She sustained serious head injuries and was rushed to Kwong Wah Hospital. She was certified dead at about 12.45pm.

 

Witnesses to the accident are urged to contact the Police on 2773 5220 or 2773 5262.
