In the run-up to next week's Real Madrid exhibition match at HK Stadium, Police have reminded the public that ticket scalping is illegal. The force added that scalpers may also dupe buyers into purchasing counterfeit tickets.

Police said it will spare no efforts in combating scalping, and continue to maintain close contact with the HK Football Association in monitoring the situation.

The force's Commercial Crime Bureau is monitoring Internet websites for any illegal activities regarding the match. Internet service providers have agreed to remove messages that may breach the law.
