Four groups have cancelled plans for public meetings outside the Legislative Council Building tomorrow, enabling more space for the three bodies that will proceed with their processions.
Police are liaising with organisers to see how to make better use of the additional space available.
Chater Garden, Statue Square, the open space beneath the HK Bank headquarters and near the Cenotaph, as well as Edinburgh Place, will be used for the gatherings.
Police have advised organisers that these areas can hold about 15,000 people. Police will implement contingency measures if too many people show up, and urge participants to follow the directions of officers to ensure safety and order.
