Six arrested for selling fake goods

*
Customs & Excise Department

Customs officers have seized about $3.25 million in suspected goods bearing forged trademarks at two retail outlets in Causeway Bay and Tsim Sha Tsui.

Targeting local shoppers and tourists, both outlets placed the bogus goods next to the genuine items on sale.

Five women and a man, aged between 19 and 32, were arrested in the operation yesterday.

The seizure included garments, handbags, wallets, rucksacks, sunglasses, key holders and card holders. Many of them looked just like the genuine articles.
