Voluntary scheme to cover cereal, spices
*
Centre for Health Protection

The pre-statutory voluntary registration scheme will be extended to cereal and grain products, herbs and spices, fats and oils, salts, condiments and sauces on July 1, the Centre for Food Safety says.

Importers and distributors can register with the centre their business registration numbers, addresses, phone numbers and person-in-charge. For details, click here.

The centre said the scheme, launched last August, will be extended to other food items - including beverages, snacks and health food - in phases between August and October.

The list of registered importers and distributors will be available here. For enquiries, call 2867 5582.
