The Civil Aviation Department today approved a 20% and 21% rise in fuel surcharges levied for short-haul and long-haul flights by Cathay Pacific and Singapore Airlines.

The two airlines will charge a $110 surcharge for short-haul flights, and $524 for long-haul flights in June.

Meanwhile, approval has been given to Nepal Airlines to maintain its passenger fuel surcharges at the current level of $239 until June 30.
