Town Planning Board deputy chief named

*

Stanley Wong has been appointed vice-chairman of the Town Planning Board for a two-year term starting April 1.

 

The Permanent Secretary for Development (Planning & Lands) has been re-appointed chairman. Fourteen new members have also been named.

 

The board's six official and 30 non-official members have also been appointed to serve on the Metro Planning Committee and Rural & New Town Planning Committee.

 

The Development Bureau today said the non-official members will provide knowledge and valuable advice to the board.

 

The board is a statutory body established to promote the welfare of the community through systematic preparation of layout plans and the types of buildings suitable for erection.
