The Civil Aviation Department today approved a 4% rise in passenger fuel surcharges levied by All Nippon Airways, Cathay Pacific and Singapore Airlines.

Cathay Pacific and Singapore Airlines will charge a $78 surcharge for short-haul flights, and $362 for long-haul flights in January. All Nippon Airways will have a $78 surcharge.

Nepal Airlines will maintain its surcharge at $239.
