November building sales up 0.7%

Land Registry

November saw 11,191 sale and purchase agreements for all building units received for registration, the Land Registry says. This was a rise of 0.7% on October and a 195.6% surge on November last year.

 

Using a 12-month moving average, the November figure rose 6.1% on October and 3.9% on last November.

 

The total consideration of these agreements was $47.9 billion, up 5.4% on October and 349.9% on the same month last year.

 

Of the 11,191 sale and purchase agreements, 9,213 were for residential units, down 0.9% on October but up 182.3% over a year earlier.

 

The total consideration of these agreements grew 5% on October to $38.2 billion. Compared with the same period last year the figure rose 323.6%.

 

The number of searches of land registers made by the public was 444,355, down 3.8% on October but up 51.5% on last November.
