The Transport Complaints Unit received 4,701 complaints and suggestions in the year's third quarter, up 16.3% on the previous three months, but down 14.1% on the same period last year.

The cases were mostly related to public transport services (84%), enforcement matters (10%) and traffic conditions (4%).

The number of cases on public transport services rose 24.2% to 3,958. Complaints and suggestions on traffic conditions grew from 167 to 183. Cases on road maintenance rose from 57 to 64 while the number of complaints about illegal parking and other enforcement matters dropped from 572 to 442.

Investigations into 4,052 cases found 65% to be substantiated, 7% unsubstantiated, and the remaining 28% unpursuable due to lack of information.
