The Transport & Housing Bureau has proposed widening part of Man Kam To Road to make it easier for vehicles to access the food-inspection facilities extension.

A notice was gazetted today. The works will start in 2010-2011 and take about six months for completion.

They include widening and realigning part of the existing road and providing associated footpaths, building a pedestrian underpass, temporarily closing and rebuilding part of the existing road, permanently closing and converting part of the existing footpath into road, and geotechnical works, landscaping, drainage, lighting and utility diversion works, and traffic lights installation.

The works plan and scheme can be inspected at the Central & Western and North District Offices, and North District Lands Office.

Anyone who wants to object to the proposed works or the use, or both, should write to the Secretary for Transport & Housing, 16th floor, Murray Building, Garden Road, Hong Kong, by January 12.
