Creative design: Bridge of Harmony has won a merit award in the My Vision of Cross Bay Link Design Ideas Invitation Event.

The Civil Engineering & Development Department has launched a free roving exhibition displaying entries to the My Vision of Cross Bay Link Design Ideas Invitation Event.

At the event's prize presentation and exhibition opening ceremony today, Director of Civil Engineering & Development John Chai said the event has attracted high quality and innovative concepts which the department will study carefully to fuse them into the Cross Bay Link bridge design options in Tseung Kwan O.

"The department aims to develop Tseung Kwan O into a new town of character with an enhanced living environment. Through this event we hope to make use of the innovative design ideas from professionals and the public, and to join with them to make the Cross Bay Link the landmark of Tseung Kwan O," he said.

The event attracted 48 entries from the public and professionals in Hong Kong and other countries including Japan, Spain and Australia. Three merit and three commendation entries were selected from each of the professional and open groups.

Entries are on display at East Point City, Hang Hau, Tseung Kwan O, until November 8. The 12 outstanding entries will also be exhibited at Metro Town Shopping Mall, Tseung Kwan O MTR Station and Metro City Plaza III afterwards. Click here for details.
