The Development Bureau today thanked the Council for Sustainable Development for conducting four-month public engagement exercise Building Design to Foster a Quality & Sustainable Built Environment, which ends tomorrow.
Together with 30 partner organisations, the council has organised more than 60 engagement events, including regional forums, briefing sessions, roving exhibitions, a photo competition and local tours for students.
The bureau commended the council for promoting public interest in building a quality and sustainable environment, adding it will study its recommendations in mapping out policies on the issue.
In response to recent media reports concerning gross floor area concessions, the bureau today clarified that a land premium is generally payable in respect of those green features which are eligible for gross floor area concessions, which form part of individual flats in a building. They should also be for the exclusive possession and enjoyment of owners and residents. Such green features include balconies and utility platforms.
Subject to lease conditions, payment of a land premium may be required in respect of the exempted gross floor area for such features.
