North Lantau seawall to be converted
*
Lands Department

Part of the sloping seawall at the Water Supplies Department's transhipment dock in Sham Shui Kok on Lantau Island will be converted into a vertical seawall to facilitate the berthing of liquid chlorine vessels.

It will involve 1,100 square metres of foreshore and seabed. The work is scheduled to begin in January and completed by next December.

The area affected is described in a notice published in the Government Gazette today. Click here for the notice and here for the plan.

Written objections should be sent to the Director of Lands, 20/F North Point Government Offices, 333 Java Road, North Point, by December 30.
