The Transport & Housing Bureau welcomes the Real Estate Developers Association's revised guidelines to further enhance the information clarity and accuracy of the sales brochures and promotional materials of uncompleted first-hand residential properties.
The enhancement measures include:
* sales brochures must contain only prescribed information about the concerned development but not other information or pictures which are purely promotional;
* the location plan and the outline zoning plans in the brochures should meet the specified minimum-size requirements;
* the location plan should provide more comprehensive information about the locations of the nearby communal and public facilities; and,
* printed promotional materials containing artist impression pictures must carry a statement advising prospective flat buyers to make reference to the sales brochures and conduct on-site visits.
The bureau earlier discussed with the association possible ways to further enhance information clarity and accuracy, and the latter agreed to put in place these measures.
The bureau expected the measures will facilitate prospective flat buyers to get hold of the required information more easily and comprehensively. It will monitor their implementation together with association.
According to the revised guidelines the measures will be applicable to the sales brochures and promotional materials of uncompleted first-hand residential properties published on or after November 1.
