The Transport Complaints Unit received 4,042 complaints and suggestions in the year's second quarter, up 3.8% on the previous three months, but down 20.2% on the same period last year.

The complaints and suggestions were mostly related to public transport services (79%), enforcement matters (14%) and traffic conditions (4%).

The number of cases on public transport services dropped 0.03% to 3,186. Complaints and suggestions on traffic conditions grew from 137 to 167. Cases on road maintenance rose from 50 to 57 while illegal parking and other enforcement matters grew from 474 to 572.

Investigations into 3,707 cases found 62% to be substantiated, 8% were unsubstantiated, and the remaining 30% not pursuable due to lack of information.
