New HK-Nansha ferry route launches

HK-Nansha ferry route
Greater convenience: The launch of SkyPier's Nansha route increases the number of Pearl River Delta ports the pier serves to seven.
*

A new ferry route between Hong Kong International Airport and Nansha Port in Guangzhou has been launched, to enhance connectivity between the airport and the Pearl River Delta.

The new route is operated by Panyu Nansha Passenger Terminal Transport Company, and TurboJET has been appointed as its sole agent.

The new ferry service increases the number of Pearl River Delta ports SkyPier serves to seven, and boosts its weekly cross-boundary ferry trips to more than 500. It will speed up Pearl River Delta economic development and enable Nansha to develop its airport economy.

Hong Kong Airport Authority Chief Executive Officer Stanley Hui said the Hong Kong International Airport is the ideal transit airport for both Pearl River Delta residents and overseas travellers.

"The new ferry service provides another commuting choice for people living or working in the Pearl River Delta, allowing them to reach Hong Kong International Airport easily for their connecting flights to different parts of the world. This convenient air linkage will help boost the economic development of Nansha as well as the entire Pearl River Delta."
