The Civil Engineering & Development Department has launched a roving exhibition to celebrate the fifth anniversary of its establishment.
The expo will last until early 2010, highlighting the department's past achievements and major projects it undertakes through display panels, video shows and models.
Launching the exhibition today, Secretary for Development Carrie Lam praised the department for its remarkable achievements in implementing infrastructure works, developing new towns and enhancing slope safety.
Besides infrastructure projects, the department also attaches great importance to Hong Kong's sustainable development, and strives to bring forward greening and beautification works in different districts, harbourfront beautification works, New Territories cycle track networks, and revitalising Tai O.
The exhibition is to be held at Olympian City 2 in Mong Kok until June 21, followed by Citywalk in Tsuen Wan from July 31 to August 2, Queensway's Pacific Place from September 17 to 21, and the department's building in Ho Man Tin from October 16 to 18. It will also be held at different universities and institutes.
