Tsuen Wan West Station development gazetted

*

Proposed road works to facilitate the West Rail Tsuen Wan West Station TW5 property development and improve traffic in the adjacent areas were gazetted today.

Four covered footbridges with associated foundations and supporting columns connecting the future Tsuen Wan West Station property development to the adjacent areas are to be built, along with an open elevated driveway with associated foundations and supporting columns underneath Tsuen Wan Road, and two road sections - a northbound one at Tai Ho Road, and an eastbound one at Tsuen Wan Road near the Tai Chung Road Interchange.

They also include construction of a temporary westbound slip road at Tsuen Wan Road near the Tai Chung Road interchange, the permanent or temporary closure and reconstruction of existing footpath sections, roads and landscaping areas, and ancillary works including drainage works and retaining walls.

The works' plan and scheme are available during office hours for public inspection at Central & Western District Office public enquiry service centre, Tsuen Wan District Office public enquiry service centre and District Lands Office of Tsuen Wan and Kwai Tsing.

Anyone who wishes to object to the proposed works or the use, or both, should write to the Secretary for Transport & Housing, 16/F Murray Building, Garden Road, Hong Kong, on or before February 22.
