Kai Tak seawater intake, outfalls planned
*
Lands Department

The Lands Department plans to build a seawater intake and two outfalls at the former Kai Tak Airport runway to extract harbour water for a district cooling system.

The works will affect 975 square metres of foreshore and seabed and will begin in 2010 for completion by 2012.

A notice on the extent of the area affected was gazetted today and is posted near the site with its related plan, which can also be seen at the Lands Department Survey & Mapping Office and the Kowloon City District Office.

Anyone with an interest, right or easement in or over the foreshore and seabed involved can write to the Director of Lands by February 19.
