Nineteen people from the industry, business community, academia and the social welfare sector have been appointed Digital 21 Strategy Advisory Committee non-official members, the Commerce & Economic Development Bureau says today.
Their term will last until September 30, 2010.
They include Prof David Cheung, John Chiu, Christine Fang, Dr Chih-lin I, Herman Lam, Sunny Lee, Anna Lin, Joe Locandro, Prof Helen Meng, Charles Mok, Daniel Ng, Edward Nicol, Dr Elizabeth Quat, Prof Vincent Shen, Eli Sinyak, Samson Tam, Dr Winnie Tang, Prof Wong Kam Fai and Peter Yeung. Secretary for Commerce & Economic Development Rita Lau, who is the committee chairman, was confident it will continue to give valuable advice and insights on how to advance Hong Kong's information and communications technology development and enhance its position as a leading digital city.
The committee advises the Government on the goals and objectives, and strategies and programmes to achieve the desired outcomes under the Digital 21 Strategy - the blueprint for information and communications technology development in Hong Kong.
